The Purloined Letter
In The Purloined Letter by Edgar Allan Poe, the Paris police used intuition to try to solve the mystery. Although they knew that Minister D was the culprit, they were unable to find the hidden evidence. Dupin said that the method was wrong because logic was what should have been used. He felt that the police were ignoring the obvious places. My friend, Albert, handled showing his mother his report card with his failing grade in a very logical manner. Instead of looking for excuses, he waited until she was preoccupied and unable to concentrate on the document.

Dupin was right when he said that the method Monsieur G was using was wrong because logic should have been used, I mean logically any head of police should know that a thief will not hide something that is so valuable on them or at their place of residence after they steal it although in some instances that is the case. Minister D knew all of the places G would look sohe hid it somewhere very simple and out in the open where he knew he wouldn't even bother to look. Your friend Albert is a smart man leaving his mom to just skim through his report card lol.
ReplyDeleteAt first it was a difficult read because I honestly didn't know who was who, but then eventually it got very interesting after I figured it out. I was surprised when he waited for the reward to go up I actually laughed out loud when dupin just gave it to them as soon as they read it. I will be honest he was very clever because most people wont think to look insights view. I love your post. Happy Monday
